Guide for Young Journalists

Journalism is the profession of collecting, verifying, reporting and analyzing information about news events, trends, issues and people. Stories can be Hard News or Features. Hard news is a timely story that provides an account of what happened and answers as many of the 5 Ws (who, what, where, when, why) and how questions as possible. Features tell stories in greater depth and often in a different style than the straight news story. Here’s a great guide on journalism to help you get going.
